Sugar cane is one of the materials with the lowest environmental impact when it comes to manufacturing disposable tableware. How is this possible? Well, sugar cane bowls are obtained from bagasse, a product obtained after the processing of sugar cane. After processing this natural material, a bioplastic called vegetable polyethylene is obtained, which does not pollute.

In addition to their sustainability, sugar cane bowls have many other advantages, let us tell you about them!

  • Resistant, rigid and light: three in one, our bagasse bowls have the perfect resistance and rigidity to contain all kinds of food, whether liquid or dry, hot or cold, without softening, cracking or bending when it comes to moving them and taking them to the table, but they are also very light and do not add any weight.
  • Unique appearance and high quality: the bagasse bowls have a very high quality that you will notice and appreciate as soon as you hold them in your hand. They have two sides, one with a rougher feel on the outside and one inside, which is completely smooth.
  • Sustainability at your fingertips: as they are made from a 100% plant-based product, they are compostable and degrade naturally. However, this does not mean that you can dispose of them anywhere, for a correct waste treatment you must dispose of them in the organic bin.

Who says sustainability is at odds with design? The Wasara range, which literally means Japanese dish, is carefully created by renowned Japanese designer and restaurateur, Shinichiro Ogata.

Simply designed with organic lines, each product in the range is designed to create a subtle and refined aura on your table, which will undoubtedly give a different feel to the dishes you choose to present. In addition, the Wasara product line is made entirely from materials that are totally biodegradable and compostable, so that they can even be disposed of in domestic composting systems.

At Monouso we have this collection in its entirety. The Wasara range consists of round and square plates, as well as different trays, bowls and cups.
