PLA bioplastic cup lids are made from polylactic acid, also known as PLA. This material is a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic, as it is obtained from renewable sources such as corn starch or sugar cane. PLA is biodegradable and compostable, which means that it decomposes naturally in the environment, reducing its impact on plastic waste.
