Just looking at them, what material would you say this cutlery is made of? We'd probably say the same thing, but nothing of the sort. PLA is a rigid, resistant and ergonomic material like no other. Once you have these forks in your hand you will ask yourself: how is it possible that they do not contain any plastic? It's no problem to use them for all kinds of food!

Polylactic acid, commonly known as PLA, is a bioplastic obtained from natural resources such as corn starch. Both the production of this material and the manufacture of this cutlery is totally sustainable and environmentally friendly. There are many advantages that PLA forks can offer you and you should know about them, we will tell you about them:

  • Sustainable: if there is one advantage of PLA that should be highlighted above all others, it is that it is a biodegradable and compostable material. Once disposed of in the organic bin, this material will degrade without generating any type of waste, thus contributing to environmental sustainability.
  • Resistance similar to plastic: as we have already mentioned, both to the touch and visually, the appearance of PLA is very similar to that of conventional plastic obtained from petroleum derivatives. By using bioplastic to manufacture disposable cutlery, products with high resistance are obtained.
